Monthly System Test
Brinks Home™ offers several ways to test your system and it is recommended that you test your system monthly to ensure proper functionality.
Instructions for testing your system are below for both the Brinks Home™ Mobile App as well as the Brinks Home Customer Portal on a desktop browser.

Brinks Home Mobile App Instructions
Follow the below steps to perform a system test in the Brinks Home Mobile App:
- Log in to the Brinks Home App. Tap the 3 lines in the top left corner to open the menu, then select My Account.
- Select System from the menu at the top of the app, then tap on System Test.
- Tap on Begin Test.
- Enter your code word and press Continue.
- Your system is now running in test mode. Be sure to note the start and end times. Follow the on-screen prompts, which will advise you to open and close all perimeter sensors, including doors, windows, and walking in front of motion detectors.
- Once you are finished with the test, you may select End Test to resume all system signals. Otherwise, the system will automatically resume after 2 hours from when you started the test.

Follow the steps below to place your system on a test in the Customer Portal:
- Log in to the Brinks Home Customer Portal.
- Select System from the listed tabs in the top right corner of the page, then select System Test.
- Click Begin Test.
- Enter your code word and press Continue.
- Your system is now running in test mode. Be sure to note the start and end times. Follow the on-screen prompts, which will advise you to open and close all perimeter sensors, including doors, windows, and walking in front of motion detectors.
